I am a shortie, but the truth is I never ever cared. The only time I get bothered by it is when I am surrounded by models in heels and I have to raise my head to speak to them, otherwise who cares. I am very lucky because I am proportional and even with my tiny height I can trick some people into thinking I am not all that ‘down to earth’ on photos.
The second most common question I am asked by my clients is how to look taller (after the one about body types of course), so I thought I would gather some of my styling tips to help you guys around a bit. Do keep in mind ladies that you should not worry about what you cannot change, just improve it if you can:)! (By the way, if you have time google Mira Duma, as she is the queen of perfect look tall outfits.)
Ankle jeans is probably the most obvious tip for looking taller, they magically make your legs look longer and skinnier as if you have outgrown them!
You can as well wear flare jeans, but those ARE tricky, so here is a post on how to wear those flare jeans right.

I keep on hearing tips about how short women should not go for maxi skirts. It is not exactly the case, because in case you do not have weight issues and wear heels, you will look much taller visually wearing a maxi dress or a skirt by creating a long vertical line. Keep in mind, it is worth to keep the top as fitted as possible not to end up looking like a bag of potatoes.
I am super allergic to girls going over mini to try to look tall when you can almost see that ass..but you can be classy enough and go simple mini and not over bitching the look.
High waist can be very tricky and not all men like seeing those ‘long’ butts, but by buying a pair of high-waisted jeans or a skirt you can trick the eyes into thinking you have a longer lower body than you actually do. (don’t forget to tuck in the top!)
Choose a colour best for you and try a full look! Why? Different colours indicate where body parts start and end, but if you go for one, you will create one long line.
Mini bags are my death. I love them, but I can barely fit my wallet, and that is 1/50th of what I take with me..I am a woman and well I NEED ALL THOSE THINGS!!!Anyhow, the bigger the bag the smaller you look next to it. The smaller the bag the less of the height it takes away visually.
And here’s the bonus:
Wear pointy heels and flats, they will lengthen your leg. If you are short and look good with short hair, than stick to short hair. Cleopatra hair will make your neck look longer = will make you look taller.
Also, read the article I wrote about over the knee boots trend and it is also an option to help you look taller, but be careful!
Have a nice weekend!
