SHOESPIRATION FALL 2013

posted in: STYLING TIPS | 0

EVERY SPRING AND EVERY FALL I GET LOST IN SHOE TRENDS AND GET EXTREMELY INDECISIVE WITH THE CHOICES OUT THERE. I HAVE LEARNED TO (WELL TRY) TO SHOP WISELY AND END WITH THE TOTALLY UNCOMFORTABLE SHOES THAT BECOME COMPLETELY UNFASHIONABLE WITHIN A YEAR. IT IS SEPTEMBER AND I AM AT IT AGAIN, GETTING MY INSPIRATIONS TO FIND THE PERFECT PAIRS. (JUST GOT A PAIR OF HEELED BOOTS FOR THE EVERYDAY, SO COMFY!!).
ONE OF MY CLIENTS ONCE MENTIONED HOW HARD IT IS FOR HER TO STYLE SHOES TO HER OUTFITS AND HOW MANY PEOPLE IN HER OPINION MESS IT UP. THIS IS SOMETHING I CAN AGREE WITH, ESPECIALLY KEEPING IN MIND SOMETHING THAT ALWAYS GETS FORGOTTEN…IT’S IS NOT ONLY ABOUT THE STYLING, BUT ABOUT YOUR BODY TYPE. I FOR ONCE HAVE BIG FEET AND I AM NOT ‘TALL AT ALL’. WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR MY SHOE CHOICES? I TRY TO FORGET ‘BULKY’ POINTY BOOTS (AH, I DID THIS MISTAKE SO MANY TIMES!) TO LESSEN THE POSSIBILITY OF ME LOOKING LIKE BIG FOOT (POINTY SHOES IN GENERAL ACTUALLY). I TRY TO FORGET THOSE 10 CM OVER THE ANKLE BOOTS THAT EVILY SHORTEN LEGS, EVEN THOUGH I AM LUCKY WITH MY LEG PROPORTIONS. AND I THINK THE MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL, I TRY TO NEVER EVER EVER BUY FAUX LEATHER AND SUEDE WHEN IT COMES TO TALL BOOTS. WHY? YOU WILL LOOK CHEAP AND THERE IS NO WAY YOU WON’T. THESE SCREAM BAD QUALITY, SO DO INVEST IN A PAIR OF LEATHER BOOTIES, THE PRICE DIFFERENCE IS NOT EVEN HIGH.

HERE IS A LITTLE FASHION WEEK CINDERELLA INSPIRATION AND USE THESE TO SEND YOUR OWN L’OREAL IT LOOKS!!! (CLICK HERE)
