a book by Karl Lagerfeld
There was always a reason why one of my favourite bloggers calls Karl Lagerfeld the ‘Cunty Karl’. In today’s world in order to be relevant person, you need to have a strong distinctive character and in many cases (think about the godliness of Kanye West) it can be a very negative one. And it works, but only if you actually have a talent to back up your assholeness.
In the case of Karl Lagerfeld there is absolutely no doubt that he is a brilliant talented man, but to me it seems his gift that made so many women happy does not make him happy. You just don’t become this negative and offensive if you are in a good place. You just don’t. At the same time as bitter as those quotes can get, Karl is on point quite often and I respect that. I myself have always been known as a person with a big mouth. It got me in trouble at times, but it also helps me be myself. I don’t hide any of my feelings and I don’t hide any of my thoughts.
The book ‘The World According to Karl‘ is a compilation of quotes by Karl Lagerfeld. He talks about different topics like luxury, shape, celebrities, Coco herself and mostly about himself. You can order your own copy HERE, I think it is really worth it and teaches you to be honest for sure. Check out a few quotes I thought I would highlight:
“I don’t need to shop for food because I never eat”
“Trendy is the last stage before tacky”
“Chanel herself had style, but she wasn’t truly elegant – that was her tragedy”
“Yes, some people say to me ‘you’re too skinny’. But a skinny person never says that to me, only people who could lose a few pounds say that.” YES!!!!
