Hi and welcome!
I am Eugenia Zhenya Bulah, a creative director and stylist from Moscow currently living in Budapest. After receiving my degree in fashion / interior styling and one in finance I have been working in these two fields ever since. In order to connect these different worlds, I launched a creative consulting firm that provides creative and marketing solutions for companies, start ups and private clients.
While working as a stylist my works have been featured in magazines, exhibitions, fashion websites and I have partnered with multiple brands, designers and organisations along the way. (check out my press features and my portfolio website)
In 2007 I have launched my personal blog Diamonds and Spikes driven by my passion for all fashion, beauty and art. I love the mixture of quality and rebellion, that’s where the Diamonds and Spikes name comes from. I wanted to have a platform to be able to share my EVERYTHING. Due to my education in fashion and interior styling, I try to share as much as I can and not only stick to my outfits. I write about fashion, beauty reviews, I share my personal thoughts on different topics, provide fashion tips and try to share as much knowledge as I can with the rest of the world.
In 2015 I launched The Magazine part of my blog that concentrates on fashion and beauty news, event recaps and consists of a much broader spectre of topics that I curate to my interest. Same year I have also launched a Shop My Style guide which is a free personal shopping service that is updated from reader’s emails and requests. I received questions and share guides for my fans in 6 categories.
The most special part of the blog is the fact that it is very opinionated and honest. I call things their names and am not afraid to express my often sarcastic opinions within the chosen topics. That’s me.
SOME RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME
In Russian the shortened version of Eugenia is Zhenya.
I worked for multiple banks, multinational companies and even United Nations.
I get lost in imaginary situations, daydream and find myself crying or laughing over them.
I am a bag person, not a shoe person.
I love technology. I take things apart and sometimes never manage to put them back together. But I did fix refrigerators, laptops and washing machines.
I believe in quality with a twist.

„I think the idea of mixing luxury and mass-market fashion is very modern – wearing head-to-toe designer has become a bit passe. It’s a new era in fashion – there are no rules. It’s all about the individual and personal style, wearing high-end, low end, classic labels, and up-and-coming designers all together.”
